Eh. Not really my idea of a great place. It's hard to get to the freeway, it's in the flight path of Torrance airport, and there's nothing really to do down there. You're quite a long way from any attractions as well. It's not really bad, just not that great. It's on the edge of Palos Verdes, but a little to the east, you have San Pedro which can be a bit iffy in some parts. Better to stay in Santa Monica, Hollywood, or Anaheim.

Same as for Lomita as for anywhere else--get your pet spayed or neutered, and if you have the resources, sponsor any strays you find to have the same. It keeps the animals healthier in the long run, prevents lots of unwanted, homeless animals, as well as animals born with defects due to too much inbreeding, etc.

well since you don't say where you want to go nor do you give a starting point there is an express bus operated by LADOT commuter express l;ine 448 it operates weekdays only it operates along PCH (there is a stop at western and PCH (which is in Lomita) note this bus only operates weekdays rush hour only) http://ladottransit.com/comexp/routes/448/448.html if you wanted go to LA on a weekend you have a couple of choices you can take the 232 bus to Long beach and then the blue line to LA or you take the 232 bus to PCH and 110 freeway and then take a445 express bus note that bus only runs hourly 7 days a week or you can take a Torrance bus to Carson and then transfer to Torrance 1 into LA note that bus also only operates into LA during rush hours

I suggest that you contact your BBB there and ask about the local vets and see if there were any complaints lodged.... Or check the yellow pages or internet. Good Luck
