How about a re-write of the old song "Midnight In Bangkok"?: "Sunrise in South Bay and the smog starts growing. The folks that make it say that it's not there".

This used to be the norm on and on the reservation in California, but since reservations can now bank their games (Class III gaming) they no longer charge a "collection" or fee to play each hand, paid before the hand is dealt. cardrooms such as Hawaiian Gardens that offer table games cannot bank their own games because they are Class II gaming. So, a private 3rd party licensed by the State of CA and in Hawwaiian Gardens actually banks the games. The "collection' is how the cardroom makes their money on the games, and the only way they can legally make money on the table games. This is similar to the rake taken from poker players at the beginning of each hand. Gamblers accept this because it gives them the opportunity to play table games locally. Incidentally, they are not legally allowed to offer slots, so this is one of the few ways they can make money.
