Sure, you can use public transit to make the trip however this is a long distance and will take some time. Since you didn't list exact streets I'll give you some general information & options. Starting from Huntington Beach you could use OCTA express bus #701 which begins at the Huntington Center Mall area and travels into Downtown LA during weekday rush hours only. From Downtown LA take a LADOT express bus #422 or 423 to Encino. Another option is to use the Metrolink rail system which has stations nearby to Huntington Beach at Irvine & Tustin & Santa Ana which can be reached by taking a local OCTA bus from Huntington Beach. Once on the Metrolink Train ride to LA Union Station then take a MTA Red Line subway to Universal City Station and finally a MTA Rapid bus #750 to Encino. what you can do is to get on the Rapid 750 (get a day pass! for $5.00) take this bus to Universal city station then board the Red Line (subway) to 7Th/Metro (7th and Flower) then you will go to 7th and Flower there you board a 460 bus direct to Disneyland (this route with the day pass you will pay an express charge of 50cents (or might be $1.00) since the 460 bus is an express bus) another routing you could take to avoid that is take the Red Line to 7th/metro then board the Blue Line take that to Imperial/Wilmington Rosa park station) then board the green line then take the Green line to Norwalk station then board the same 460 as before to Disneyland

When I was going to UCLA in 1981, the rent was very very high, now is the same. Studio City ,Encino are not very close to UCLA, but you can easily get to school if use Subway. If you can afford almost $ 2000.00 a month, you can find a nice one bedroom there. If you go to the student Union, you see lots adds for roommate that was the way I got a room very close to UCLA back in 80. If you can get a room in mid Wilshire it is very easy to use the bus to go to school. Good Luck.
