This is a really good school. There are great teachers, staff, and it is also a clean campus. I would recommend this school if you want your child to be a successful student. Some people say its overcrowded, but that's not a bad thing. Every student is helped either by a teacher, tutor, or counsler. The world is overcrowded too, you don't see me complaining. Some parents don't understand that more people mean more socialization. More help from other students instead of just the teachers. It teaches kids to live in the real world, not just a dumb school with a small population.

This school is extremely overcrowded. For a special needs child or one that is just very sensitive emotionaly this is defiantly not the place to send them. Classrooms are too small to accomidate the student enrollment.

It's a shame that the this school is mainly student driven. For the most part, the teachers do not really care. Having known many students that went through this school along with my kid, I can safely say that this school will probably be among the worse if it weren't for the self-motivated students and parental support. Although they have many programs and activities, most came out due to necessity of the students who were driven hard by their parents to do well. A good number of students take private tutored classes. The school is not diverse at all. Lack of interracial activities plague the campus.

Great school that is extremely competitive. Most students serious as well as many, but not all, teachers. Many of the best teachers are leaving this year of 2007 leaving many students who are lost with inexperienced new student-teachers.

Administration and staff are incompetent, mired in self-interested. Do not listen to parents. Sad, pathetic bunch of administrators and teachers. However, students are self motivated, with supporting parents. If not in a wealthy, self-driven district, school would be one of the worst in the LA metropolitan area.

This is a very competitive school, so anyone wanting to go here needs to be prepared for all the challenges and work that await them.

School campus is pretty good. Many teachers do not teach well, but there are a few very good teachers. Text books are mostly updated, new books. The library 'linc' doesn't have many reading books, also very small. I have a feeling some teachers don't care about the success of the students, but care for their own self.

This school has many different programs/extracurricular activities that allow students to enjoy their high school career. All the programs function at a very high level!

This is one of the best High Schools in the United States. I think they are only 2nd to 1 on a scale of 1 to 10 10 being best. This School gets a 10 and the Honor Roll. Keep up the Good work DBHS

This school is one of the best schools in the area. DBHS is especially good at its higher math (calculus)program. I benefited a lot from it. Because of my high scores on AB and BC Calculus AP exams, I fulfilled all college math requirements before I started college.

This is a very high performing high school in which most of the students are truly college bound. There is a sense of competition among the students that often appears to break out along racial lines. Most of the teachers are well above average with many in the excellent catagory. It is common for there to be rigorous work in the classes and significant homework even in non-honors courses. There is a very active parent booster group that raises money to support all programs on the campus. In addition to a strong academic program, the school's athletic teams have been highly successful with many winning CIF championships. All in all, this is an excellent school, especially for students who are highly motivated.

Having attended and was graduated from Diamond Bar High School, I can only give it the highest praise. My mother made it a policy to move to the best school districts; and this one was the best possible decision she ever made. I cannot stress enough the difference a revered school district can make in your child's life. The level of parent involvement is extremely high. The quality of academic programs speaks for itself as there are people who are willing to do almost anything to get their child in this district, specifically in a school in the city of Diamond Bar. The availibility of all types of extracurricular activities is mesmerizing, both in and out of the classroom. Remember, if you are moving to the city of Diamond Bar that the northern part is not Walnut Unified School District.

This high school has great students that are self-driven, and parents who value academic achievement above all else. The teachers are good, but too political. The high school administration, including the principal, is very bureaucratic and not responsive. They are more interested in grand standing, PR, and have a 'circle the wagon' mentality. I find them very intransigent and not responsive to parents' suggestions and constructive criticisms. The school is highly rated purely because it is in a high income Asian neighborhood where students and parents are high achievers. Walnut Valley School Board should provide better leadership too. I am a parent of a DBHS student, an ex-professor of a world class university, published author, and a current CEO of a public company. I am qualified to rate, and grade the Diamond Bar High students A+ in intelligence and motivation. The current administration deserves a D-/F score.

I think this is the greatest High School going. They have excellent teachers. That don't mind communicating with parents. Plus excellent counselors, Mr.Goode, excellent secretary's and Principal. Nothing left to be desired in Education.

This is a school stuck in the middle of the 'American Dream.' The children are all restless and wish they could get more out of their life instead of just rotting away here in this wretched school. This school wants to believe that it is an ample supplier of the 'American Dream.' In reality, it is not. The kids that turn out successful are solely due to the kids own talent. The school has nothing with shaping the morale and the dignity of the students. Rather, this school debilitates the students by making it seem that life outside of Diamond Bar is either unattainable, or that a life similar to the one led in Diamond Bar or surburbia is the best to lead.

Our son is a graduate of DBHS and the entire staff did a great job of preparing him to become a successful citizen. His teachers and GLC's worked hard to challenge him academically, athletically, and as a person. This school is undoubtedly, one of the finest in the state! If there is anything that needs improvement is that a larger percentage of parents need to dedicate their time for the positive improvement of the school.

Our son graduated from DBHS and we know that the entire staff helped him prepare to be a successful adult. The teachers and GLC's truly care about their students and demand that they grow as young adults. The drawback at DBHS is that only a small number of parents go out of their way to give positive support to the programs at the school.

Diamond Bar High School is by far the worst school to have ever existed. Despite several highly-qualified faculty members, it must be immediately shut down and banished as an educational center. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd rate it a simple ZERO! I can't wait until the glorious day when its shut down!!!!

I have had two students graduate and currently have a junior attending. I drive from another district to have my children go to DBHS. My children have recieve an outstanding education along with the opportunity to be invovled in many extra-curricular activities. There are no limitations on what are children can do.

One of my children attended this school and another is on her way. I would not put them in another school. The curriculum and staff are above average and my kids have had very high SAT scores. Parent-teacher involvement is very important and I wish that we as parent be invited more often to participate in general activities not necessarily related to sports. The office staff is not very welcoming though and come accross rude too often. Attendance and registration are the worst so far, from my experience. Maybe they are overworked and need some more assistance. A nice smile and kinder body language would help a lot.

I currently go to Diamond Bar High School, there are way too many students, in a school that is too small. In a classroom built for 25 students there are 35+. The school academically and athletically is wonderful, but the classroom are much too small, it is horrible. Diamond Bar High needs tp build more buildings or limit the amount of students it lets attend the school.

[The] comments made by a parent exaggerate the weaknesses of the school to a degree that the comments are considered false. Diamond Bar has a wonderful fine arts program, the marching band is outstanding and definitely one of the best in California, they are academically motivated, and their sports program is one of the finest in Southern California. Diamond Bar is the place to start to make your dreams come true.

The freshman athletic program is outstanding. The success is directly related to the excellent coaching staff. The excellence is not limited to one particular sport and/or coach but the sports program overall. In contrast, the freshman teaching staff appears to be more focused on fulfilling the state s standards rather than focusing on the individual student and his or her success.
